This was a very helpful review. It helped me transition from Decades of primary care to the urgent care world of medicine. The effectiveness of this course was validated in the the weeks of Urgent care service I completed after I finished the course. I think the genius of this course is in the carful selection of pathology and perfect pace of the on-line instruction. I actually enjoyed the course. Even better that it was a value-priced. Thank you.

Very helpful. Thorough review. I am starting a new position as an NP in retail health. I have been in a very specialized field for 2 years and I think that this course provides good information to make this transition with confidence. Thanks UCCC!

Good review course. I am fresh out of PA school and going into a primary care/urgent care setting. This course helped me feel prepared and not overwhelmed before I start working.

Great course!! Very helpful. I bought this course after working in Orthopedics for a bit and now transitioning to Urgent care. Course has a good pace and identifies the common diagnoses seen in urgent care as well as the red flags to remember. The course is very effective and hits on the appropriate topics and uses/ reviews evidence based medicine best practices. Overall, I am very happy with course and would recommend!! Thanks.

After working for many years as an occupational health NP I recently transitioned to an urgent care setting. Urgent Care Crash Course is an excellent review of commonly seen illnesses and injuries that present in an urgent care setting. The course material is orgnaized in easy to review segments. The content is concise and thorough at the same time, covering body systems, assessment, diagnosis, treatment options and red flags. My confidence in managing medical concerns that commonly present in the Urgent Care setting has greatly improved by taking this course. I will continue to review the course material and updates. I recommend this course to anyone who is interested in working in urgent care.

I have been a nurse for over 40 years and a Nurse Practitioner for 12 years. I work in a very rural Federally Qualified Health Center. This course was an excellent review for me. I think the information will be very helpful as we see on average 10 urgent care patients Monday thru Friday and many are more emergent than expected due to the fact we are over 50 miles from the nearest Emergency room. I have encouraged my peers who work here to also take the course. Will be a good resource for day to day working. Thank you

Helpful review of information. Great to be able to work through the sessions at my own pace & pausing as needed and coming back. Had a few technical problems, but the staff were pretty good at helping me get things resolved.

I have worked in a Fast Track/Urgent Care setting for the past several years. I took this course as a refresher and to be informed on the latest clinical practice guidelines and appropriate treatment modalities for the pediatric population as my main focus has been adults. I was impressed with the content and nuts and bolts presented. I appreciate the Red Flags as it helps me to focus and make medical decisions in a manner designed for urgent care setting. It was a user friendly format and I was able to finish it quickly. I plan to recommend this UCCC to my colleagues.
Respectfully,
Jackie R. Clayton, DNP

This course is very valuable to any new PA/NP grad who will be working in Urgent Care. The information is presented in a clear and concise manner, and treatment plans include the most common drugs used, as well as dosages. Although it does not go in depth in any one area, it definitely covers the “most common” conditions one will see in an Urgent Care setting. The “red flags” section is great to remind one of the major things to watch out for that may require more emergent care. Overall an enjoyable and worthwhile course. Thank you!

Excellent course! Very straightforward and to the point material. Topics are divided for rapid access. I recommend to anyone who is transitioning into urgent care or even primary care urgencies.

This course was just what I needed to help transition from my role as a primary care provider to urgent care. The succinct format of each category directs the focus of an urgent care assessment and appropriate treatment. The red flags in so many areas are very helpful. I used the information to construct targeted HPI smart phrases to guide documentation. Thank you.

As a seasoned registered nurse and a new NP, I enjoyed this crash course since it brought years of learning into a nice, condensed set of videos. The video discussed the most common illnesses regarding specific systems and the evidence-based meds to treat them. In addition, the “Red Flags” were a great benefit to direct our attention to critical points that could be overlooked. My only negative is that given the nature of a crash course, I felt there are areas that could have benefited from a more detailed explanation. Possibly, the creators could elaborate on the more challenging systems to make the course feel more complete or well rounded. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this course.

I truly was skeptical about this course when I purchased it. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I have moved into a family practice/walk in clinic as an nurse practitioner from pain management, so I had to reprogram my brain. I used this and appreciated that this course drilled down the common problems seen in a clinic and the assessment that went along with it, with the treatment. I could not be more pleased with the purchase.

As a NP starting a new role in an urgent care setting, I thoroughly enjoyed this course. The material was clear and concise. I appreciated that the topics were divided making it easy to go back and review specific topics of weakness. I definitely feel more confident and prepared going into my first shift having completed this course first!

I purchased this course in order to prepare for a possible switch from my current area of practice to the Urgent Care setting. I love that this course presents the most common complaints/conditions that one might see in Urgent care. The material presented was to the point with first and second line treatment options and with pictures to illustrate certain conditions including ENT and dermatological conditions. I also love the addition of the Red Flag symptoms to help you identify who may need referral for a higher level of care. After completing the course, I feel more confident to apply to the Urgent care position I am seeking and knowing that I will provide safe and excellent care to the patients whom I will encounter.

The course was straightforward and informative. As a new grad NP working in the urgent care, I appreciate the information on the common complaints and conditions with the “red flags”. I know experience and exposure will build more confidence. I plan on reviewing this course frequently.

Straight to the point review! It also talks about the “red flags,” & drugs of choice. My investment is worth it!

I felt this course was great. It pointed out what to expect in an urgent care clinic and how best to be prepared. I would highly recommend anyone interested in this field, to take the course.

I found the course very instructive. The modules are summarized and to the point. Everything in them is essential knowledge needed. I recommend this course to anyone interested in Urgent Care who is naive in the field.

This was just what I needed to build my confidence before my first shift at a walk-in clinic. It provided a good review of common presentations of common illnesses. From the presentations, I was able to compile some quick references for myself. If a new version came out in the future, I would consider purchasing again.

I had been working in the primary care setting for over 15 years and wanted a program to help transition into the urgent care arena. This course was the perfect review of the most common acute conditions we see in family practice, but also added valuable information on many additional things we could expect to find in Urgent Care. I found the Red Flag information particularly helpful. I would highly recommend this course to any new NP/PA as well as anyone wanting to refresh.

Urgent care crash course provides good videos/powerpoint slides for common ailments seen in the urgent care setting. They highlight common symptoms, presentations, treatments, and red flags. This course is a great ‘re-fresher’ prior to stepping into the urgent care field.
